Intending to travel by private road transport from Calcutta, please avail Durgapur Express Way. Turn left after Shaktigarh at the junction where the road to Burdwan turns on the right hand side, to proceed further. This road goes to Arambag.
Thereafter cross the Damodar river (Krishak Setu) to reach "Bankura More". From here turn right and via Bankura Road you will reach Check Post bus-stop, now turn right again to reach Somsar through a road.
Public Buses for Bishnupur, Bankura, Indas etc. are also available from Burdwan Bustand. After approx. 35 k.m. of journey get down at Check Post bus-stop on Bankura Road. The road on the right site will take you to Somsar.
