The task of rehabilitating the members of the Roy family, who unconditionally and most gracefully donated their immovable properties to the Seva Mandir, constituted a very important part of the programmes carried on by the Seva Mandir and thus was taken up with top most priority.

A high-Ievel committee was been formed centring around one of the senior monks of the Ramakrishna Order with several established Engineers, Advocates, Accountants and other professionals as members.

The Committee after detailed deliberations on a number of occasions drafted a total Rehabilitation plan.

In the First Phase, 5 of the families were selected, for whom construction of 5 houses were taken up. All the families were rehabilitated in the newly constructed houses and thus the First Phase was successfully completed.

In the Second Phase of the Rehabilitation Project, issue of the remaining 5 families were taken up who intended to build their own houses with reimbursement of the expenses from the Ashrama. The Second Phase too was completed successfully.
