1st phase : held at Nazrul Manch, Kolkata, on 8th-9th September,
2002.
The birth centenary programme of Most Revered Swami Bhuteshanandaji
Maharaj started with great enthusiasm and with cordial homage. The
Programme was inaugurated by Most Revered Swami Gahananandaji Maharaj,
Vice President of the Ramakrishna Order, at Nazrul Manch on 8th
September, 2001. This evening was particularly reminiscenced
by International speakers like Swami Chetananandaji, Swami Sarvadevanandaji,
Swami Prabhanandaji, followed by devotional musical programme by
Smt. Vani Jairam. Monks of the Ramakrishna
Order and nuns of Sri Sarada Math attended the
programme with devotees
from various part of the country and abroad. On the 2nd day i.e.
on 9th September there was a day-long Bhakta Sammelan where devotees participated in the discourse, meditation,
devotional songs and readings.
2nd phase : held at Uttarkashi on 6th-7th October, 2001.
The 2nd phase of the Centenary programme was held at Lakheswar Siva
Temple at Uttarkashi, the place of tapassya of Most Revered Swami
Bhuteshanandaji Maharaj. The two-day programme was held on 6 & 7
October, 2001, wherein about 400 devotees of all over India and
abroad assembled there to take part along with monks of
the Ramakrishna Order. The highlights of the
programme were elocution competition amongst the school children,
procession and road-march on the main thorough-fair of Uttarkashi, sadhu and cultural show performed by local school children.

3rd Phase : held at Somsar on 4th December, 2001.
The 3rd phase of the Centenary Celebration was observed on 4th December,
2001 at the holy birth-place - Somsar village. The day long programme
included Special Puja, colourful procession, devotional songs and
in the evening a public meeting presided over by Revered Swami Smarananandaji Maharaj,
General Secretary of the Ramakrishna Order. A school building and a Guest House for the devotees were inaugurated.

4th Phase : held at Bagbazar Shiva temple on 12th March, 2002.
The 4th programme was held at the Shiva temple near Hooghly river
side in Bagbazar, where Most Revered Guru Maharaj had stayed for
2 years during his student life. With a view to commemorate this,
the Shiva temple was renovated and a special puja was held on 12th
March, 2002, where thousands of devotees assembled on this holy
Shivaratri day to pay their homage to Lord Shiva. There was a public
meeting in the evening where Swami Mumukshanandaji Maharaj spoke
as Chief Guest, the other speakers included Swami Sarvalokanandaji
Maharaj and Swami Sanatananandaji Maharaj.

5th & concluding Phase : held at Mahajati Sadan, Kolkata, on
8th September, 2002.
The year-long Centenary
Celebration, of Most Revered Swami Bhuteshanandaji Maharaj started
in 2001, was concluded on 8 September 2002, on his holy birthday
in a day-long programme at Mahajati Sadan. It was attended by thousand
devotees, monks and nuns of the Ramakrishna Order
and Sri Sarada Math.

Thus, the year-long Centenary Celebration of Most Revered Swami Bhuteshanandaji Maharaj concluded.
